There were a lot of things going on in the pages My hero academy over the past year. The war between heroes and villains has undergone a rather big change bigger world That left Deku and the rest Children 1-a As Japan’s last true hope in the fight against all for one, Tomura Shigaraki. It’s understandable if you’ve forgotten about a few things that happened a long time ago, which makes it even weirder when you decide to bring up a plot point that frankly wasn’t an issue five years ago.
You may remember from the early days of the manga that after the first chapter was attacked by the League of Villains in the USJ, the UA staff came to the conclusion that there was a mole inside the school. This was referenced back in Chapter 83 after the summer camp attack, which was all way back in 2016. (or Episode 45 in 2019, if you’re a cartoon watcher.) Since then, it hasn’t been called The manga really pays attention to it since other events are prioritized like Deku and Bakugo’s relationship, Todoroki family secrets, and the previously mentioned Hero v War. Villain war. But now that things have calmed down relatively for the main players, this week Chapter 335 has brought that plot back into the spotlight.
The final seasons sidelined Deku and his classmates to show American hero Star and Stripe, another All Might-influenced hero after he saved her family when she was a child. With everything going to hell in Japan, she quickly showed up in her idol’s homeland and tried to take on All for One (who kidnapped Shigaraki’s body earlier this year), and things didn’t go well. She’s dead, but her new system, which allows her to set rules on a person or thing, completely smashes Shigaraki’s body and ruins some of the quirks that All for One has acquired over the years.
At the end of Chapter 335, All for One briefly turned its gaze toward UA, which had become heavily fortified to protect the people of Japan in the month since the war. The chapter ends with the revelation that Toru Hagakure, the invisible girl residing in Class 1-A, is one of his clients. Depending on your point of view, this either seems dumbly obvious or a well-made character role, which is something that fans like. I managed to realize it Long before this chapter hit.
Hagakure’s deception comes at a time when kids and heroes are hatching a plan to hit Shigaraki while still too weak and eventually defeating One for All seems like a viable option. Given how strong the children’s bond with each other was with every life-threatening event they experienced, and how they all rallied around Deku, it’s possible that Hagakure could change her stance at the last minute. But it’s just as likely that their classmates will end up as a bigger threat down the line and cut their knees right below them.
