Sony’s excellent WF-1000XM4 ANC wireless headphones only came out this summer, so we’ve only seen moderate sales so far — even during Black Friday. For Cyber Monday, Amazon lowered it to just $218, to save you $62, or 22 percent — a great price for some of the highest-rated wireless earbuds available.

The WF-1000XM4 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed WF-1000XM3, and it has been improved in almost every way, as we detailed in our Engadget review. It delivers well-balanced sound quality across the lows, mids, and highs, with no strong bass or too high a pitch. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which prevents more noise across all frequencies while using less power, has also been improved to boot.

As a result, battery life is up to eight hours with ANC turned on, or 12 hours with it disabled — about 25 percent more than the previous model. Other great features include Qi-certified wireless charging (with fast charging that gives you an hour of use in five minutes), customizable volume controls, Sony’s “accurate voice pickup” technology for improved call quality, and 360-degree HD audio support.

The biggest downside is comfort and fit, as Sony’s foam (instead of silicone) tips may not work with all ears. That’s a small complaint considering that the WF-1000XM4s tops a lot of lists for the best wireless ANC headphones, including ours. You’re unlikely to find them at a better price anytime soon, so if you’ve been eyeing a pair, now is the time to act.
